Fishing Guide
How rods, hotspots, huge bites, contracts, and signature fish all fit together.
Contents
Fishing is now a full map-based loop instead of just a side button beside water.
The basic loop
- Stand near a fishable water edge.
- Use your equipped rod.
- Roll the route's fishing pool.
- Chase contracts, signature fish, trophy fish, or treasure.
Rods
Fishing uses a proper rod ladder:
- Old Rod
- Good Rod
- Super Rod
Old Rod is the baseline. The stronger rods open better pools and more valuable routes over time.
Prime spots and huge bites
Some water edges are better than others.
- Prime spots improve your odds of stronger fishing results.
- Huge bites are the higher-value results that matter for contracts and Hunter progression.
Route identity
Fishing routes now have real identity.
Each route can surface:
- signature fish
- a trophy catch
- a rare line
That means routes are supposed to feel known for certain fish instead of all water playing the same.
Daily fishing contracts
The fishing board currently focuses on jobs like:
- catching new fishing species
- landing huge bites
- landing signature or weather-synced catches
Fishing contracts are one of the best ways to turn a casual water stop into an actual progression session.
Live boosts
Fishing now hooks into:
- world conditions
- live events
- trainer identity
So a "good fishing day" can be much more than just random luck.
Reward direction
Fishing rewards now come from several lanes:
- contract payouts
- rod progress
- milestone rewards
- utility item bundles
- prestige rewards for deeper investment
The goal is to make fishing worth learning instead of feeling like filler.
