Battle Tower Strategies

The Battle Tower is a weekly gauntlet with rotating rule sets. Learn how resets, mutators, and leaderboards operate so you can plan deeper streaks and lock in top placements.

Weekly Cycle

Know when to push and how runs are counted each week.

  • The Battle Tower resets every week. When a new week begins, streaks and leaderboards clear so everyone starts on the same floor.
  • You receive 1 free run per day. Extra attempts need a Tower Ticket, so stash them for weeks with friendly mutators.
  • Your active party is snapshot when you enter. Levels, HP, and move PP stay locked until the run ends, so set your lineup before you queue.

Mutator Notes

Use the active rules to your advantage instead of fighting against them.

  • Tower runs use curated opponent teams. If you lose, rematches load the same lineup, letting you adjust strategy between attempts.
  • Mutators apply special rules such as healing bonuses or terrain effects. You see the active set before each floor, so plan around it instead of guessing.
  • Some mutators restore HP or revive fainted Pokémon after a win. Use those windows to push deeper before spending items.

Leaderboard Rules

Staying ranked takes more than one good run. Keep these guidelines handy.

  • Each win bumps your current floor and your best streak. Wiping ends the run, but your highest streak still counts for the week.
  • Only the top 100 players appear on the public leaderboard. Inactive accounts drop off automatically to keep rankings fresh.
  • Leaderboard updates happen right after each battle, so guildmates can follow your climb in real time.

Preparation Tips

Run through this checklist before starting a streak.

  • Stockpile Tower Tickets when mutators favor your main team so you can chain extra attempts.
  • Carry backup sweepers and support Pokémon in your party slots. Snapshotting ignores your PC boxes, so set the full squad before entering.
  • Record damage taken and dealt after each floor to learn how mutators influence enemy teams for future runs.
