Mining Operations Manual

These specs come straight from the mining service that powers world-map resource nodes. Use this dossier to plan expedition routes, budget stamina, and forecast the loot economy tied to geodes, lockboxes, and forging.

Field Deployment & Node Stats

Every overworld map spawns four mining nodes by default. They reposition when cleared, respawn in roughly five minutes (300 seconds ±15%), and try to respect a three-tile spacing rule.

Node Durability

Hit points per node family

  • Stone60 – 90 HP
  • Iron80 – 120 HP
  • Crystal100 – 150 HP
  • Fossil120 – 180 HP
  • Aurum150 – 220 HP

Damage per swing starts at 4, then scales with timing quality, pickaxe tier, and +2% per mining level. Runic tools have a 2% once-per-day shatter that instantly breaks the node.

Swing Cadence, Stamina, & Tools

Mining swings cost 5 stamina with a hard cap of one action per second (60 swings per minute). Stamina regenerates by one point per idle minute up to the 100-point cap, and every swing adds experience toward the mining skill track (100 × current level XP to advance).

Timing Windows

  • Perfect timing

    ×1.6 damage • +12 XP per swing

  • Good timing

    ×1.0 damage • +8 XP per swing

  • Bad timing

    ×0.5 damage • +4 XP per swing

Pickaxe Progression

  • Rusty

    ×1.0 damage multiplier (starter default)

  • Iron

    ×1.2 damage multiplier

  • Steel

    ×1.4 damage multiplier

  • Mythril

    ×1.6 damage multiplier

  • Runic

×1.8 damage multiplier + 2% daily Shatter proc

New tiers are forged at the mining workshop. Skill bonuses stack additively (+2% damage per level) before timing and pickaxe multipliers apply.

Node drops are evaluated every time you shave off another 10% chunk of a node’s HP. Clearing the final chunk triggers a respawn timer between 255 and 345 seconds before the replacement node appears.

Node Loot Tables

All probabilities below are per 10% HP chunk removed. Base materials always drop, while bonus rolls check their own odds each chunk. Fossil fragments from nodes can be combined or paired with Ancient Geodes to build full fossils.

Geodes & The Pity Counter

Geodes pull straight from your bag. A global pity counter rises whenever you land a non-rare, non-exempt reward; after eight low-tier results the next eligible geode payout jumps to the best non-exempt option. Bottle Cap rolls from Crystal Geodes don't touch pity. Rare rewards reset the counter unless marked exempt.

Bronze Geode

Counts toward pity (rare fragment resets counter).

OddsReward
80%4–8 Stone Ore + 20–40 Dust
15%2–4 Coal + 5–10 Stone Ore
5%Bronze Fossil Fragment ×1 (rare)

Iron Geode

Counts toward pity; rare fragment clears counter.

OddsReward
70%4–8 Iron Ore + 2–4 Coal
22%6–10 Iron Ore + 30–60 Dust
8%Iron Fossil Fragment ×1 (rare)

Crystal Geode

Bottle Cap rolls are pity exempt; rare shard bundle resets counter.

OddsReward

25%6–10 Crystal Shards + 60–120 Dust
9.5%Bottle Cap ×1 (pity exempt)

Ancient Geode

All results count toward pity; complete fossil clears counter.

OddsReward

20%80–120 Dust
5%Fossil (Complete) ×1 (rare)

Gold Geode

Counts toward pity; Gold Key reset on rare result.

25%2–4 Gold Nuggets + 100–160 Dust
10%Gold Key ×1 (rare)

Bronze and Iron Geodes feed unique fossil fragments. Ancient Geodes speed up fossil restoration, while Gold Geodes stay the primary renewable source of Gold Keys for high-tier lockboxes.
