Team Aura Takeovers are seasonal invasions: two weeks every season, Team Aura strikes across the region to steal Aura research and corrupt wild habitats.

During an active takeover you can:

  • Enter the Team Aura Stronghold (a multi-floor grid run).
  • Hunt High Value Targets (HVTs) for rare encounters.
  • Loot High Value Caches that appear on the world map.
  • Track down Vice Leader Chrono for takeover-only rewards.

Want the lore behind the faction? See Team Aura Dossier.

Variant basics: Radiant Guide and Umbral Guide.

The seasonal window

A takeover runs for two weeks each season. When it begins, you'll see takeover activity on the world map and seasonal announcements from the League.

Team Aura Stronghold

Strongholds are tactical grid runs with multiple floors.

  • Move one tile at a time.
  • Tiles can trigger battles, traps, rewards, or empty rooms.
  • Reach the exit tile to fight the floor boss and advance.
  • Clear the final boss to earn a Research Lab choice: Radiant or Umbral.

SupplyAdds healing items to your Stronghold bag (used inside the run)
HealRestores a % of current party HP
BuffGrants a next-battle buff (attack/defense/speed boosts, shields, etc.)

Cache tiles award coins and/or team points, and generally scale up as you push deeper.

Research Lab (Radiant / Umbral)

After clearing the final boss, you choose a pod:

  1. Light (Radiant Stone)
  2. Dark (Umbral Stone)

Then you pick an eligible Pokemon (the game will show what's eligible). The chosen stone is infused immediately.

High Value Targets (HVT)

During takeovers, keep an eye out for HVT sightings on the world map. Fight through Team Aura grunts to draw out an Admin encounter. Some HVT Admin fights can award a capture attempt on a special Radiant or Umbral Pokemon.

High Value Cache

High Value Caches are personal spawns that can appear during a takeover. They despawn if ignored, and you can only have one active at a time.

RewardTypical payout
Coins25,000-60,000
Team points3,000-15,000
Bonus TMRare chance (random non-purchasable TM)

Vice Leader: Chrono

If you clear a Stronghold and defeat an HVT Admin in the same takeover window, you may unlock a Chrono hunt. Chrono relocates after each win, letting you chain multiple fights for takeover-only loot like Team Aura Booster.
