We’re rolling out a big mid-season update that sets the stage for some of the biggest changes Aura has seen yet. Here’s what’s new 👇
🧭 Aura Expeditions - Send Your Team Out Exploring
You can now send your Pokémon on Aura Expeditions for anywhere between:
6 hours ➝ up to 7 days
⏳ Longer expeditions = better odds at stronger rewards
📈 Higher level Pokémon = better odds too
🎯 The current level with the best odds is 1250
Set your Pokémon on a journey, come back later, and see what they’ve brought back for you!
⛏️ The Mining Shop - Exchange your materials for items
The brand new Mining Shop is now open!
Use your crafted mining items and mined materials to exchange for:
Special rewards
Unique and rotating items
Occasionally even special Pokémon
Some items in the Mining Shop will be limited or time-based, so it’s a good idea to stock up on materials whenever you can.
Why now? Because next month, we’re planning a huge update focused on:
Many more items being added to the game
The official introduction of Mega Evolutions
Aura Expeditions and the Mining Shop are the foundation of how a lot of these future items will be obtained. Expect more rewards and new items to be added to both systems next month.
🌑 Umbral & ✨ Radiant Pokémon - New Variants Arrive
We’re introducing two brand new Pokémon variants to Aura:
✨ Radiant Pokémon
🌑 Umbral Pokémon
Galaxy will always remain our premier variant, but Radiant and Umbral bring a new layer of economy, collecting, and battling strategy.
Our first ever Radiant and Umbral pair is:
🦴 RadiantAerodactyl & 🌑 UmbralAerodactyl
📍 Available through the Mining Shop & Expeditions
Radiant & Umbral Pokémon will usually be event-exclusive, but Team Aura has given us the chance to test the first versions early.
Stat changes:
✨ Radiant:
+10 Sp. Def, Sp. Atk, Speed
-10 Attack, Defense, HP
🌑 Umbral:
+10 Attack, Defense, HP
-10 Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed
Abilities:
Radiant: When sent out first or switched in, it lowers the opposing Pokémon’s accuracy by 1 stage
Umbral: When sent out first or switched in, it raises its own accuracy
These variants are designed to feel powerful but also strategic, not just cosmetic.
🗺️ Live Maps - First Step Toward the Overworld
One of the most requested features has started to come to life: Live Maps.
You can now:
See other players moving around on the current maps in real time
Click on a player’s name to open a popup of their profile
This is an early test version and the first major step toward the full overworld system, which will include many more mechanics later on. Right now the focus is on making movement and interaction between live players feel smooth and stable.
🤝 Referral System Update - Rewarding Real Progress
We’ve updated how referrals work to better reward real, active players.
To earn referral points from someone you referred, that player must now:
Earn at least 4 unique badges
Link their game account to Discord
Once both conditions are met, you’ll receive your referral points.
This change is in preparation for next month’s Referral Shop overhaul, which will include:
New items
New Pokémon
Better long-term value for active referrers
