One year of Pokémon Aura! 🎂

It's officially been a year of Pokémon Aura, and what a year it's been! From where we started to everything we've added along the way, it's been amazing watching the game grow and seeing everyone become part of it.

To celebrate our first Auraversary, we're bringing something special to the overworld!

Introducing Prismfall, a limited-time, 7-day anniversary event featuring a brand-new Pokémon variant, Prismatic Pokémon! 🌈

Colorful crystals have started appearing across Aura, and Professor Elm needs your help figuring out what's going on. Along the way, you'll have the chance to discover and catch Prismatic Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile, explore the world for rare encounters, and even customize your Pokémon's bonus stats!

📅 Event Duration: 7 days from the start of this post

🔬 Your Adventure Starts With Professor Elm

Something strange is happening across Aura. Mysterious crystals have appeared throughout the overworld, and Professor Elm believes they might be connected to a new kind of Pokémon.

Once you've completed the starting adventure, head over to Aura Town and speak with Professor Elm to begin your Prismfall journey!

He'll introduce you to the three Johto starters and give you access to your Prismfall Journal, where you can track your progress, find objectives, and replay the introduction.

Important: Make sure you actually speak to Elm to begin your research! Simply watching the introduction won't start your progress, and catches or battles from before joining won't count.

💎 Restore the Three Prismatic Beacons!

Three mysterious beacons are scattered across the overworld, each connected to a different Prismatic starter.

Your job is to restore them and discover what's waiting inside!

🍃 Leaflight Beacon | Verdant Approach

Explore the overworld and visit all three beacon locations. Once you've discovered them all, return to Leaflight Beacon to encounter Prismatic Chikorita!

🔥 Emberlight Beacon | Brookbank Trail

Catch 15 ordinary wild Pokémon after starting Elm's research, then return to Emberlight Beacon to encounter Prismatic Cyndaquil!

💧 Tidelight Beacon | Meadow

Win 10 ordinary wild Pokémon battles after starting Elm's research, then return to Tidelight Beacon to encounter Prismatic Totodile!

A few things to know:

• All three research objectives can progress at the same time.

• Wild encounters from walking, Surfing, and fishing in the connected overworld can count toward the appropriate tasks.

• Trainer battles, tutorial battles, and Prismfall encounters won't count toward the ordinary wild Pokémon objectives.

• Defeating a Pokémon doesn't count as catching it.

• You'll need to physically visit each beacon to restore it.

Each beacon reveals a Level 2 Prismatic Pokémon, but you'll still need to battle and catch it yourself!

If you accidentally dismiss one or fail to catch it, don't worry. You can return to the beacon and encounter it again while the event is running. You can also return to an existing saved visitor through your journal.

✨ The Hunt Doesn't End at the Beacons!

Here's where things get interesting!

Once you've successfully caught a Prismatic starter from its beacon, that species becomes available through personal wild Prismfall encounters.

That means you don't need to finish all three beacons before you can start hunting for more!

For example, if you catch Prismatic Cyndaquil first, you can immediately start exploring for additional Prismatic Cyndaquil.

Your first captured starter becomes your automatically selected Prismatic Attunement. As you unlock more starters, you can switch between them through your Prismfall Journal.

How do wild Prismatic encounters work?

• 🌈 2% encounter chance for every 30 seconds of validated land exploration.

• ✨ Guaranteed encounter on your 40th eligible roll if the previous 39 were unsuccessful for that starter.

• 🎮 Levels 2 to 10 for additional wild Prismatic encounters.

• 🚶 You must actively explore! Standing still or Surfing won't progress your Prismatic search.

• 🔒 Encounters are personal to you. Nobody else can steal your Prismatic visitor!

There must also be at least 30 real seconds between rolls, and an existing ordinary encounter may delay your next Prismfall roll.

Only one personal Prismatic visitor can be waiting for you at a time.

So get out there, explore the world, and see what you can find!

🎁 Catch Up to 10 Prismatic Pokémon!

Throughout Prismfall, every trainer can capture up to 10 Prismatic Pokémon from the event!

And here's the fun part: you decide how to split those 10 captures!

Want to collect a bunch of Cyndaquil? Go for it. Prefer Totodile? That's fine too!

For example, your collection could look like:

• 🔥 6 Prismatic Cyndaquil

• 💧 3 Prismatic Totodile

• 🍃 1 Prismatic Chikorita

Or any other combination you prefer!

There's no individual species limit. Just a shared maximum of 10 successful event captures, including your first three beacon encounters.

Keep in mind: You can use all 10 captures without completing every beacon, so make sure you save room if you want to collect all three starters!

Only successful captures count toward your limit. Missed Poké Balls, failed encounters, and dismissed Pokémon won't use a capture.

Once a capture has counted, evolving, trading, or releasing that Pokémon won't give the slot back. Receiving Pokémon through trades also won't change your personal event capture count.

🧬 Introducing Customizable Prismatic Stats!

Prismatic Pokémon aren't just about looking cool. They bring something completely new to Pokémon Aura!

Unlike our other variants, Prismatic Pokémon let YOU decide how their bonus stats are distributed!

Every Prismatic Pokémon receives:

🌈 +55 Total Bonus Base Stat Points

You can distribute these across your Pokémon's six stats however you'd like, with a maximum of +20 bonus points in any single stat.

By default, your Prismatic Pokémon starts with:

But you don't have to keep that setup!

Want to build a speedy attacker? Put more points into Speed and Attack.

Prefer something defensive? Invest more into HP and defenses.

The choice is yours!

You can redistribute these points completely free through your owned Pokémon's inspection panel, as long as the Pokémon is available and you're outside battle.

A few extra details:

• Bonus points are added to base stats before level scaling.

• Changing the allocation won't heal or revive your Pokémon.

• Your chosen stat build stays with that individual Pokémon through evolution and trading.

• Prismatic Pokémon cannot be combined with another variant.

• Prismatic Pokémon don't receive an exclusive ability.

This opens up a lot of possibilities for creating different builds, even between two Prismatic Pokémon of the same species!

📖 Saved Encounters and Event Deadline

We also wanted to make sure players don't lose out because of a disconnect or an unlucky capture attempt.

If you disconnect or fail a throw, your waiting Prismatic encounter is saved! You can use your journal to return to its location.

If you choose to dismiss a visitor, it leaves. Uncaught beacon starters can still be revealed again at their beacons while Prismfall is active.

Once the seven-day event ends, new research progress and new Prismfall encounters will stop.

However, any visitor already saved for you can still be recovered and caught after the event, provided you haven't reached your 10-capture limit.

And of course, every Prismatic Pokémon you've already captured is yours to keep!

Alongside Prismfall, we're also hosting a community donation event with some pretty awesome prizes up for grabs!

The goal is simple: work together as a community to help level up Valeq's/Electrabruhzz Blissey by donating EXP through Wishing Stars and Bottle Caps.

The more everyone contributes, the bigger the prize pool gets!

We've got an initial set of rewards ready, but I'll be adding even more prizes as participation grows and we get closer to our community goal. So there's plenty to look forward to!

🌈 Bonus Rewards for Wishing Star Donations!

On top of the leaderboards and raffles, every full Wishing Star donated will also earn you a randomly rolled Pokémon variant!

These rolls can include:

• ✨ Shiny Pokémon

• 🌑 Shadow Pokémon

• 🌌 Galaxy Pokémon

The Pokémon available through these rolls can include variants needed for the current Aura Collection, so this is another opportunity to work toward completing your collection!

Normal Pokémon are excluded from these rolls. Every full Wishing Star earns a variant roll.

⭐ How Donations Work

You can contribute by donating Wishing Stars or Bottle Caps toward Valeq's/Electrabruhzz Blissey.

A few things to keep in mind:

• Wishing Stars: Donate EXP to help us reach our community goal. Every full Wishing Star also earns you a bonus variant roll.

• Bottle Caps: These are also accepted and will be used on Valeq's/Electrabruhzz Blissey once we've gathered enough to make the most of the EXP gains.

• Raffle Entries: Bottle Cap donations will count toward raffle participation and the community EXP totals.

• Bottle Cap Variant Rolls: We're still discussing a fair conversion rate for how Bottle Caps should count toward bonus variant rolls.

There's no minimum donation requirement, so contribute whatever you're comfortable with!

That said, since all donations and rewards need to be processed manually, I'd appreciate it if everyone could avoid sending Wishing Stars with very small amounts of EXP.

There's plenty of time to prepare your donations, so no need to rush!

📅 How Long Will the Event Run?

We're still figuring out the exact end dates, and I'd love to hear what everyone thinks!

My current idea is to have a shorter competition period for the Top Donator prizes, so nobody feels like they need to grind nonstop for weeks just to stay competitive.

Meanwhile, the general raffle and donation pool would remain open for at least two weeks, giving everyone plenty of opportunities to participate.

Nothing is finalized yet, so feel free to share your suggestions!

It's crazy to think about how far we've come in just one year.

What started as a much simpler browser Pokémon game has grown into something so much bigger, with an explorable overworld, new battle systems, events, trading, collections, and so many features we've worked on together.

A lot of the improvements we've made came directly from your suggestions, bug reports, and feedback. Whether you've been here since the beginning or only recently joined us, thank you for being part of Aura.

Prismfall is our way of celebrating that first year with something new, something fun, and a little more freedom to build your Pokémon the way you want.

And we're definitely not stopping here. There's still plenty more planned for the future of Aura!
