Mining allows you to gather materials to craft useful items, or exchange in the mining shop for prizes. Today we'll go over the process of mining, what you can and should craft, and what you can and should exchange for in the mining shop.
How to Mine in Aura
First thing we will need to decide is which material we are wanting to mine. A couple things to consider are the drops from the nodes themselves, and what the geodes can contain when you open them.
Mining node drops:
Aurum - Gold Nugget(1-2), Dust(50-100), Gold Geode(15%), Gold Bottle Cap(.05%), Key Shard(2%), Random Evo Stone(6%)
Crystal - Crystal Shards(2-4), Dust(30-60), Crystal Geode(12%), Bottle Cap(1%), Shiny Roll Ticket(.3%), Random Evo Stone(4%)
Fossil - Fossil Fragment A-F(Can get multiple), Dust(20-40), Complete Fossil(3%), Ancient Geode(2%)
Iron - Iron Ore(3-6), Coal(1-3), Evolution Shard, Iron Geode(10%), TM Shard(3%), Random Evo Stone(2%)
Stone - Stone Ore(3-6), Coal(1-2), Dust(10-20), Random Fossil Fragment(5%), Bronze Geode(6%)
Geode Drops:
Ancient - Fossil Fragment(75%), 80-120 Dust(20%), Complete Fossil(5%)
Bronze - 4-8 Stone Ore + 20-40 Dust(80%), 2-4 Coal + 5-10 Stone Ore(15%), Bronze Fossil Fragment(5%)
Crystal - 4-7 Crystal Shards + 40-80 Dust(65%), 6-10 Crystal Shards + 60-120 Dust(25%), Bottle Cap(9.5%), 12-18 Crystal Shards + 120-200 Dust(.5%)
Gold - 1–2 Gold Nuggets + 70–120 Dust(65%), 2–4 Gold Nuggets + 100–160 Dust(25%), Gold Key(10%)
Iron - 4–8 Iron Ore + 2–4 Coal(70%), 6–10 Iron Ore + 30–60 Dust(22%), Iron Fossil Fragment(8%)
Now that we have decided what material we want we can head over to the maps. Nodes spawn on specific maps as below:
Grass - Stone, Iron, Crystal
Cave - Stone, Iron, Fossil
Water - Stone, Iron, Fossil, Aurum
Volcanic Ridge - Stone, Iron, Aurum, Crystal
Burned Tower - Stone, Iron, Fossil
Power Yard - Stone, Iron, Aurum, Crystal
Frost Cavern - Stone, Iron, Fossil
Cerulean Cave - Stone, Iron, Fossil
Forest - Stone, Iron
Swamp - Stone, Iron, Crystal
Winter - Stone, Iron, Aurum, Crystal
Meadow - Stone, Iron
Mountain - Stone, Iron, Crystal
Tin Tower Roof - All
Whirl Islands - Stone, Iron
Once on the map just move around until you see the node you are targeting. Then you want to click on it to start the mining mini game. If you can see the node you can click it. You don't need to stand on it or even be close to it. So nodes on unwalkable parts of the map are still obtainable.

The white line will move left to right across the bar. The goal is to click the button when the white line is in the green area for a perfect. Yellow and red can give materials and exp as well. So all is not lost if you can't hit it. The mini game is also speed limited. You will need to wait a second in between "swings"
Green aka Perfect - x1.6 damage + 12 exp
Yellow aka Good - x1 damage + 8 exp
Red aka Bad = x.5 damage + 4 exp
Exp to next level is your current mining level x 100. For example at level 18 you would need 1800 mining exp to level up. Each swing will use 5 stamina which you can track on the mining info in the top right corner of the map. Stamina restores at the rate of 1 point per minute, and currently has a cap of 100.

Crafting items in Aura:
The crafting section houses many useful facilities for all types of players. We'll go over each one, and give some tips at the end.

Navigate the menu by clicking on the buttons on the right side.(Where the blue highlighted button is.
Hammer Icon: Workbench
Boxes Icon: Materials
Fire Icon: Smelter
Wrench Icon: Forge
Diamond Icon: Geodes
Workbench:
This section houses fossil reconstruction, mega stone construction, and crafting for quest related items. For quest related items it is better to wait to craft them until a quest asks you to. As you get materials from the quests themselves.

Utility Tab: Items you can use for or on Pokemon
Mega Tab: Where you craft full Mega Stones
Legendary Tab: Quest related recipes
Fossil Tab: Crafting fossil Pokemon
Materials
This section will show you all the mining related materials you currently have.
Smelter
This is where you will turn your ores and shards into bars and gems. You can queue up multiple of each material as long as you have the materials for it. The time for their completion will show up at the bottom, and you only need to click the claim all button to collect when they're finished.

Forge
This section houses many useful items for you to spend your materials on. Everything here will be created instantly.

Pickaxes: Deal more damage to mining nodes. Runic has a 2% daily chance to shatter a node regardless of remaining health. Giving you all remaining materials immediately.

Tips:
Save materials to craft the Runic Pickaxe right away
Make sure to craft your weekly Bottle Cap. Useful in trades even if you don't plan on training.
Don't smelt all your materials right away. Mining shop has uses for raw materials.
Geodes:
This is where you crack open your geodes to get bonus materials and rare items. There is a pity counter that gives you a rare bonus if you haven't had one before the threshold of 8.
Geode Drops:
Ancient - Fossil Fragment(75%), 80-120 Dust(20%), Complete Fossil(5%)
Bronze - 4-8 Stone Ore + 20-40 Dust(80%), 2-4 Coal + 5-10 Stone Ore(15%), Bronze Fossil Fragment(5%)
Crystal - 4-7 Crystal Shards + 40-80 Dust(65%), 6-10 Crystal Shards + 60-120 Dust(25%), Bottle Cap(9.5%), 12-18 Crystal Shards + 120-200 Dust(.5%)
Gold - 1–2 Gold Nuggets + 70–120 Dust(65%), 2–4 Gold Nuggets + 100–160 Dust(25%), Gold Key(10%)
Iron - 4–8 Iron Ore + 2–4 Coal(70%), 6–10 Iron Ore + 30–60 Dust(22%), Iron Fossil Fragment(8%)
The rarest chance will be your Pity bonus. One thing you can do here is open other geodes until you hit 7 on the counter, and then crack the one you want on 8 to guarantee the item you are after. Some of these are also used in the mining shop. So always check there to see if you need to save any.
The Mining Shop:
Released for the Mid-Season 3 update, the mining shop is a new place to spend your mining materials for some rare bonuses. It can be found on the left hand menu under the regular shop.
Dust Pouch(Large) - Instantly gives you 1000 dust. No need to use an item from your inventory.
Mining Starter Bundle - 500 Dust, 15 Pokeballs, 5 Potions
Umbral Stone - Use the item from your inventory to make an umbral version of the current pokemon in the shop description.
Radiant Stone - Use the item from your inventory to make a radiant version of the current pokemon in the shop description.
There are a few more items than this in the shop, but those items are found in the forge as well.
