Auctions are a place where you can buy and sell Pokemon as well as items. Today we'll go over how to setup an auction, place bids, and general tips of auction usage.
Placing Bids on Auctions:
Before bidding we need to identify the requirements set by the holder. There are 3 possible auction types.
Anything Goes - Can offer coins, Pokemon, or a mixture of both
Pokemon Only - You can only bid with other Pokemon
Coins Only - You can only bid with coins
Coins Only auctions will automatically end when the timer expires. The others have to have their offers manually reviewed and accepted by the host. This manual review does have a timer on it, and the system will automatically choose an offer if the host does not. Withdrawing an offer incurs a fee, but only if you have the highest offer on that auction. This is strictly to prevent abuse.

Simply type in the coin amount, and/or click on any Pokemon you want to add to the offer. A coin only auction will not allow you to add Pokemon, and a Pokemon only auction will not allow you to add any coins to the offer.
Setting Up an Auction:

To create our own lot we need to click on the Create tab. Pokemon auction will be the default, but you can also auction items by clicking on the item tab.

Currently you can not mix the two, and you can only auction one item at a time. You may select the quantity for the item except for wishing stars. Auctioning multiple pokemon is possible. You can scroll through your list, or type what you're looking for in the search bar. You don't need the full name for the search bar. For example: You can type "Shiny" to bring up just all your shiny pokemon, or "Cap" to pull up Gold and Normal Bottle Caps.
Once you have decided on the contents of your auction it is time to choose your preferred auction type.
Anything Goes - Players are able to offer you coins, pokemon, or a mix of both. You will have to manually choose the winner. There will be a timer, and if a decision isn't made the system will choose a winner.
Pokemon Only - Same as above, except no coins will be able to be bid.
Coins Only - Only coins can be bid, and the auction will end automatically when the timer is up.
For anything goes and pokemon only auctions you will only need to set a duration. This number is for how many days it will be up, not hours. For coins only auctions you will also be able to set a starting bid and a buyout. Starting bid will act as if someone has already bid on it, and the next bid will have to be higher. Setting a buyout price means the person who matches that bid will be able to claim the auction immediately, and you will also receive your coins instantly. Leave the buyout as 0 if you do not want to use this option.
Additional Notes:
The host is able to accept any offer at any point of the auction. They do not need to wait for the auction to end.
Longer duration auctions might be better for rarer things, but many people wait until the end to put their best bids in. Most things are better off at the minimum of 3 days.
Auctions will automatically add 5 minutes to the auction timer if a bid is made in the last 5 minutes of the timer. This is to prevent last second "sniping"
